The Journey
The grand Sri Lanka journey — cultural triangle, hill country, a safari at Udawalawe, and whale-watching on the southern coast.
Eight days across the entire island. Sigiriya Rock, the Dambulla cave temples, an eco-park safari, the Temple of the Tooth, the Ambewela–Ella train, Ella Rock, an Udawalawe safari, and finally whale-watching at Mirissa and Galle Fort.

Day 2
Colombo → Sigiriya
Dambulla Cave Temple en route, climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Overnight at Fresco Water Villa.
Day 3
Sigiriya → Kandy
Morning Hurulu Eco Park safari, then Kandy — Temple of the Tooth, Kandy Lake, the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya and a cultural dance performance.
Day 4
Kandy → Nuwara Eliya
Drive into the highlands. Gregory Lake, Victoria Park, and a Sri Lankan tea factory. Overnight at Oak Ray Tea Bush.
Day 5
Nuwara Eliya → Ella
Scenic Ambewela-to-Ella train ride. Ella Rock hike and the iconic Nine-Arch Bridge.
Day 6
Ella → Mirissa via Udawalawe
Ravana Falls, the Elephant Transit Home and an Udawalawe safari, then on to Mirissa for the coast.
Day 7
Mirissa → Galle
Morning whale-watching, then explore Galle Fort, the lighthouse and the beach. Overnight at Fort Bliss Galle.
Day 8
Madu River → Departure
Madu River safari and a turtle hatchery visit, then drive to Bandaranaike International for departure.
